It is with great pride and joy that we announce the First Annual Miss India Connecticut Beauty Pageant. This event will be held on November 8, 2009 at Dr. Edmund Barbieri Auditorium, Westover School, 412 Stillwater Ave, Stamford, Connecticut. We will have a Grand and Elegant evening, featuring the dazzling beauties of India along with Bollywood music and dances. You will enjoy glittering Indian jewelry and gorgeous costumes in our live show.

The Pageant will consist of two competitions: Miss India Connecticut (18-25 years old) and Miss India Teen Connecticut (14-17 years old). Each competition will include a walk on the runway by the contestants in both Indian dress and Western evening wear, as well as a talent presentation by each finalist and a special interview on healthy living. Bonus points will be awarded to contestants with a healthy Body Mass Index. This emphasis on a healthy beauty has drawn interest and support from physicians and health advocates. It is your support that will make the difference in pageant history.

This show will help us select a candidate from Connecticut to be sent to the national and international level for the first time in 28 years!

Apart from being functions of great social and cultural value, our pageants fulfill an underlying purpose of raising funds for charitable causes. Proceeds from this event will benefit Asha-Stamford, a non-profit volunteer organization that supports the local community through volunteer involvement and collaboration with local non-profit organizations, and supports the education of under-privileged children in India. Our contestants and winners will be motivated to take up charitable causes. We request eligible contestant to contact us and not miss this great opportunity.
